RetirementI wish to inform you my intention to retire on 31st August 2023, following 27 years of service in the school. I have had the privilege of leading the school for the last 15 years. I have never taken that privilege lightly and know that with it comes huge responsibility. I have a strong belief that wonderful organisations are made even more wonderful when leaders change. I have completed 15 years at the helm of this wonderful school and am proud of our achievements during that time. And so, it is with mixed emotions but a conviction in the wisdom of my decision, that I inform you of my retirement from my role as Principal at the end of this academic year, on 31st August 2023. I have had the privilege of sharing in the joy and sense of wonder that each new day brings in an infant school. It has been an honour for me to play my part in the growth and development of Naíscoil Íde, from a child grasping a new skill or discovering a way to solve a problem to whole school events, successes and celebrations. The staff, boards, and parents I have worked with over the years have been the most dedicated, talented and loyal people I could ever hope to meet. All united in wanting the best for their children. I would like to thank each and every one for their positive input and welcome contributions. I am looking forward to a wonderful final term together and we will talk again soon.
Many thanks for your support
