Step 2: Technology

Step 3: Engineering
ICT is embedded in the teaching and learning in Naiscoil Ide.  The school is delighted to have been able to purchase more iPads again this year, this has enabled four classes to have exclusive access to seven iPads on a daily basis. This is in addition to the 29 iPads that each class has access to on a weekly basis. Each class also has an IWB, a visualiser and a shared digital camera to supplement the content and objectives of lessons.
The children use iPads on a weekly basis for Literacy, the Arts and Maths.  Bee Bots are used throughout the school to introduce the children to the basics of coding. The children create books using Book Creator, use directional language on the Bee Bot app, create Digital Art and create mini videos and slide shows to record and share their work.

Interactive Whiteboards

All classes use an Intereractive Whiteboard so enhance lessons, and reinforce learning through games etc.

SeeSaw and QR codes

This year each class has introduced the 'See Saw' app to their class.  The children sign into the app using their class QR codes to share samples of their work with their teacher and their families.
