Our Fifth Green Flag

We are delighted to have been awarded our fifth green flag, which is on the theme of “Biodiversity”. Ms. Butler, Tom Roberts and Mischa Higgins attended the awards ceremony in DCU on Tuesday 19th May to collect the flag for the school, which was awarded on the theme of Biodiversity. Biodiversity is the huge variety and variation of life that surrounds us. The children have been very busy planting and growing flowers and vegetables for our school garden. As well as all the plant life we also are attracting visitors with a “Bug Hotel”, bird table and wild flower area. Dotsy O’Callaghan from the Dublin Senior Hurling Team raised the flag. We all celebrated with an ice cream!   Well done to Ms. Butler and her Green Schools Committee for coordinating all this wonderful work.
