Seachtain na Gaeilge☘️

During Seachtain na Gaeilge, the children tried their very best to use Gaeilge phrases throughout the week. They also worked hard practising for the show on Friday, where they performed “Óró Sé do Bheatha ‘Bhaile” brilliantly!

Wonderful Welly Designs 👢🎨

The children became fashion designers this week by using different fabrics and materials to create their very own unique wellies, perfect for splashing around in puddles!

A Visit to the City Farm 🐐🐑

This week, the children got to visit the city farm where they saw goats, sheep, hens, and pigs. They even had the chance to feed the goats and pet the donkeys!

Active Week Fun ⚽

The children had great fun during Active Week! They were so lucky to have the bouncy castle for three days and enjoyed playing soccer out on the pitches. They also took part in lots of exciting sports activities, including the sack race and the egg and spoon race.

Easter Fun in Room 8 🐰

We had lots of Easter fun in Room 8 this week! We created beautiful Easter bunny art, baked delicious Rice Krispie buns, and enjoyed an exciting Easter egg hunt out on the grass.

Weights and Handwriting Fun ✏️⚖️

This week, we explored the concept of weight by measuring different items around the classroom to discover which objects were heavier. We also continued practising our handwriting skills and are becoming more confident using all of our cursive letters.

World Book Day 2026 📖

6th class visited to read us classic stories, we designed our own bookmarks, and enjoyed many wonderful stories throughout the week.

Festive Fun in Our Classroom🎅

We had a magical time in the lead up to Christmas! The children wore their Santa hats and performed a lovely Christmas show. We were also very excited to welcome a special visit from Santa himself 🎅. Our Elf on the Shelf kept us entertained all December long with lots of fun and mischief!

Our Artwork🖌️

Our class has been very busy with creative art! The children made their own silhouettes and filled them with drawings of things they love. We also enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year by creating colourful vases decorated with pink and white flowers.

Active Learning in Our Classroom🌟

We have been very busy engaging in a range of fun and hands-on activities! The children explored maths by building towers with cubes to represent addition, carried out exciting science experiments, and took part in active PE games. We also practised our handwriting in a creative way using playdough. Lots of learning and fun happening every day!

Show and Tell Fridays 🎤

Every Friday, our Senior Infants have the chance to bring in something special from home and tell their classmates all about it. From favourite toys and books to family treasures, the children are building confidence in speaking, listening, and asking questions.
