Highlights from our Assemblies!
At Assembly this week Mrs Mescal thanked all the children for their hard work and gave a special thanks to the parents who have helped the school this year,. She gave a special thanks to the parents who fund raised and those who made the float for the inaugural St. Patrick's Day parade in Raheny. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful school community. She also thanked the all the Staff, Madeline and Graeme for all their hard work too. The school's Bí Cineálta committee were introduced to everyone and the First Class members explained about the school's policy and the importance of being kind to everyone.

At Assembly this week we celebrated Saint Valentine's Day. Mrs Mescal spoke about how we can show love for our friends and our family. Last Tuesday was Internet Safety Day and we were very proud of the First Class children who reminded us how to stay safe when playing games on line or using devices. We all now know that we should always ask our parents for help, and should never click on any adverts and should always 'x' out of pop ups and tell our parents.
This week we celebrated Catholic Schools' Week. The highlight of this week is always Grandparents Day which unfortunately has to be postponed until next week due to Storm Eowyn. We were all very impressed with the First Class children at assembly who spoke about our grandparents and why they are so special to us. The children read a prayer in remembrance of all the grandparents who cannot be with us.
At this week's assembly Mrs Mescal congratulated everyone on their hard work throughout the term. The children gave Madeleine, Graeme, the Parents Association and all the parents who helped the school throughout the term and made the trips to the park and the library possible. We finished the last Assembly of 2024 with some of our favourite Christmas songs.
At this week's assembly we were joined by the Junior Infants for the first time! Mrs Mescal congratulated everyone for working so hard on their lines and reminded us all to be kind in the yard. We were so proud of some of the First Class children who explained about Star Chart for star lines and gave details of the annual Pumpkin Display. Mrs Mescal also explained that the we would be going on a Wizards and Witches Walk next Friday.! Sounds like next week is going to be a fun filled week!
We finished assembly with our favourite song... take a listen!
At this week's Assembly. Mrs Mescal welcomed everyone back to school and complemented everyone on how well they looked in their neat and tidy uniforms. We all gave Graeme a big 'bualadh bos' for painting the whole school over the summer and having it looking lovely for our return and we all gave Madeline a big cheer for working so hard over the summer to have everything organised for our first day back. The mums and dads got a big clap too for all the hard work they do for us. It's good to show gratitude.
Ms McGInn then announced that we would be celebrating 'Friendship Week' next week. There are lots of fun things planned!
This week we are all working on our class lines both on the corridors and in the yards. Best class gets extra time!!
