A Day to Remember!
On Friday,20th June, our First Class children put on an amazing performance for their graduation. They sang their hearts out and received a standing novation from all in attendance! We were all so proud of them. There was no work done for the rest of the day but there were plenty of fun activities!
The children celebrated the end of their time in Naíscoil íde with a teddy bear's picnic, a yard disco and were surprised with an ice cream. Mrs Mescal came around to each class and presented each child with a certificate. The children also went home with a personalised class poster.
A special thanks to our P.A. who arranged for each child to receive a special Naíscoil Íde teddy bear keyring to remember their time in school.
We will all really miss this bunch of super children but wish them well in their new schools and beyond! And always remember our school motto...

Gardening in Naíscoil Íde
The whole school community has been extra busy this year making the grounds as attractive as possible for everyone to enjoy. The children have been learning about the importance of caring for our environment and how we all play a part in ensuring that our school grounds provide inviting habitats for bees, butterflies, and other essential pollinators. A special thanks to the Parents' Association, Graeme, Anne and all the children who worked so hard throughout the year to create pollinator-friendly habitats.
We were visited by members of DCC last week who were really impressed with the knowledge of our young students and how the whole school community work to support biodiversity and raise awareness. Mrs Mescal was so proud of the children's efforts and knowledge of those who met with the DCC. They were delighted when she presented them all with an extra special prize today. Well done to all involved!

First Class School Tour
What a superb time the First Class children had on their school tour to Explorium. There were so many things to explore and enjoy. Many thanks to the parents who volunteered their time to join us on the day and make the day possible
Friendship Week
There were lots of activities to enjoy during Friendship Week! The children loved visiting other classes and making new friends. We all learned what it is to be a good friend and learned a new song which we sang together at assembly. There was even a poster and colouring competition. Welcome Back to All!
It was a great first day back to school- despite the rain. The children were all delighted to be reunited with their friends, and everyone settled quickly back into the school routine. Many thanks to our Parents Association for putting on a superb coffee morning to welcome the parents of our new Junior Infants.
