ICT is embedded in the teaching and learning in Naíscoil Íde.  The school is delighted with the purchase of 28 new iPads, with four classes having exclusive access to seven of these iPads on a daily basis.  This is in addition to the 29 iPads that each class has access to on a weekly basis.  Each class also has a visualiser, and an Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) to supplement the content of lessons.

The IWB provides many opportunities throughout the teaching day for children to engage with educational programmes and websites.  For example, here some Junior Infants are using Bua na Cainte...

Children using iPad's

The children use iPads on a weekly basis for Literacy, the Arts and Maths.  The children create books using Book Creator, problem solve by controlling Bee Bot while practicing directional language on the Bee Bot app, create Digital Art and create mini videos using the Chatterpix app to name but a few...here are some Senior Infant children using Chatterpix to create mini videos using selfies and/or characters on a given topic.
